Instantly Boost Your Leveling Speed By Up To 17% With This Simple Trick

by Jassper of The Diablo 3 Leveling Guide

So, as I’ve been looking for different ways to maximize the leveling speed of different classes, the primary things I’ve been showing you so far are the best locations and the best builds. However, around 2am last night/this morning while in a bleary-eyed gaming coma, I realized that I’ve unconsciously been following one particular rule on all of my characters that I’ve never mentioned.

Bonus Gold And Globe RadiusIncrease your Gold/Globe pick-up radius right away!

This tip is the most useful on earlier levels and acts, as they tend to be a bit easier and faster-paced. An increased pickup radius allowins you to basically run through the zones AOE one-shotting almost everything in your path while simultaneously picking up going without going out of your way to grab it.

Once you get on a roll, having this increased radius allows you to move much, MUCH more quickly. You’d be amazed at how much time gets eaten up running in circles to pick up gold. Two seconds here, half a second there. It actually ends up being quite measurable.

I actually tested this out on a level 26 witch doctor by doing 10 Belial runs. My rules were that I had to kill everything, had to pick up all dropped gold and could ignore non-rare gear drops.

The results were impressive:

+0 Bonus to Gold/Globe radius = Average time of 2 min 10 sec
+20 Bonus to Gold/Globe radius = Average time of 2 min 32 sec

That’s a speed increase of 16.9%. Fairly substantial.

Assuming that your speed will be uninhibited by mob difficulty throughout all of normal mode and at least half of nightmare, that means that what may have taken around 15 hours will now take less than 13. Not a bad little speed boost for spending a few gold on the AH to add some Bonus to Gold/Globe radius to your gear.

I would recommend looking to add this stat to at least shoulders, belt, pants and boots. These particular slots are good candidates simply because they currently cannot be affixed with attack speed, which is something you won’t want to sacrifice (at least for the time being).

Keep in mind that the faster you are moving through packs of enemies, the more this stat will benefit you. As soon as you start slowing down to the point that mobs are a bit more of a challenge, you’d be better advised to look into more traditional itemization of your stat allocation.

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess
I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for novice blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
