Barbarian: Section 10: Ultimate Barbarian Inferno Build

by Jassper of The Diablo 3 Leveling Guide

This is probably the section of the guide you’ve jumped to first. Smart choice, because this is where I’ll be showing you exactly how to put together a barbarian Inferno build that won’t have you pulling your hair out and slamming your keyboard due to constant deaths and frustrating game play.

Lots of barbarians are having difficulty with Inferno difficulty, since the damage scaling is really punishing to melee toons. This really is happening because Inferno damage was created around getting high resists, which many people do not have yet. The fact is that barbarians are the most gear dependent class in the overall game, so things tend to get simpler when quality gear becomes available, which is happening fairly rapidly.

In the meantime, I’ve spent a ton of time figuring out how to farm up my own gear. From all the approaches that I’ve tried, by far the most successful is a tank barbarian with a lot of defensive skills. For a given level of gear, I find that using my tank build I can farm elite packs a full act above what I could using a dps build.

Now, let’s take a look at the build.
